ESPORT ARENA NORDICS

NORDIC WINTER LEAGUE
Winter is here!
In January we kick of the new year and a new season of Esport Arena Nordics with the Nordic Winter League.
The Winter League has a format with a qualification stage before a finals stage. Qualificiation stage is held in equally seeded groups. The results will decide which final group teams will play in for the finals stage.
This way, teams will face challenges in the qualification with a variety of teams in the lobby, before facing off teams on similar skill level in the final stage.
Winner of A-final group is overall winner of the Nordic Winter League!
NORDIC CHAMPIONSHIP
Just when the winter storms have passed – a new tournament emerges – our MAIN EVENT – the Nordic Championship!
Nordic Championship has two seasons throughout the year:
- Nordic Championship – Spring
- Nordic Championship – Autumn
____________________________________________________
Nordic Championship is open for both low, middle and high tiered teams. Teams will be seeded based on results in previous tournaments/scrims.
Teams will be divided into divisions, we want to have the highest skilled teams from the Nordic countries in 1st Division, but at the same time also ensure casual players and teams are able to meet players and teams on their level in lower divisions.
Each season will be played with a set number of round, each consisting of 6 matches. After a season ends, a set number of teams will be promoted or relegated.
When the dust settles, winner of the highest tiered division will be Nordic Champion!

NORDIC SCRIMS
Throughout the year, team may practice by playing scrims. Nordic Scrims is a practice competition – BO6 in one night. Nordic Scrims are FFA (Free-For-All) to participate in.
However – participating in Nordic Scrims may also earn the team an advantage when playing Nordic Championship.
To award teams practicing and trying to get better, whilst contributing to the community by playing scrims, we are working on ways to show our appreciation.
Stay tuned!
FAQs
Any Nordic teams with at least 3 out of 4 players being from the Nordic countries may sign up and participate in all our tournaments and scrims.
Yes, this means we do allow 1 non-Nordic player on a team in any given match. You can have more non-Nordic players as substitutes, but use maximum one at the time.
And yes – there are no requirements for so and so many players from one country. But all teams must define which country they are from when registering the team.
A good starting point is to join our Discord server Esport Arena Nordics (click on link to the left). Here you will find all necessary information about upcoming events, rules etc. – all in English.
When signing up for a scrims or tournament you do this right here on Esport Arena website.
Check for upcoming tournaments here.
Once signed up for the Survivors League, you will be invited to next stage automatically. There is even a possibility to join Survivors League on stage 2 – but this is break point, and last chance to get to the top Final group. With multiple division it might be too late already – so don’t take any chances, join from stage 1!
Blood, sweat and agony perhaps.
But participation is totally free – thanks to our generous sponsors being passionate about e-sports just like us!
Besides fame and glory, we are working to make sure that we do have a prize pool for the Nordic Winter League and Nordic Championship.
Prizes will usually be announced before tournament start.
If possible we also run some individual prizes and a lucky draw amongst participants – to show our appreciation of everyone participating.
Top 3 teams in all tournament divisions will regardless be awarded a digital trophy to showcase their performance!
Esport Arena believe casting is a very important part of the tournament experience we provide.
We have our own Casterteam, who is casting events throughout the year.
All divisions in tournaments are being planned with casters.
Nordic Scrims will also have casting from time to time, but no guarantee here.
Both tournaments and scrims will be using standard PUBG e-sport rules and maps, and be in First-Person-Perspective (FPP).
Check out tournament pages and/or Discord for rules.
Esport Arena is a volunteer organization from Norway, who truly believes that the best e-sport comes from passion for the game. By being a volunteer organization we ensure that no business decisions interfere with our mission: 5000+ happy gamers, 365 days a year!
We want to keep PUBG FPP alive, and doing something for all Nordic countries will be important to keeping the community vibrant for years to come.
PUBG IS BEST IN FPP
Esport Arena's stance on FPP/TPP is very clear: We think PUBG is best in FPP. This is why our tournaments are committed to FPP, and we will continue to provide FPP tournaments in PUBG as long as possible.
Esport Arena Nordic tournaments and scrims will therefore be in first-person-perspective (FPP). This is the real way to play this game, after all.
Regardless of Krafton's future plans for FPP globally, we will work tirelessly to build a vibrant FPP e-sports scene focused primarily on the Nordic countries, but perhaps also with a future European effort. Where it will end, noone knows - but our amibitions are high, and our commitment is iron clad.
We hope you will join us and support our endeavors in the upcoming months and years.
