1. Who we are

Esport Arena (org.nr 935533937) offers a digital platform for e-sports enthusiasts. It offers tournaments, news, social features and payment solutions for our users. Our website is available at www.earena.no. Other domain names such as norgesligaen.no, esportarena.no and esportarena.org are forwarded to this website.

2. What information do we collect?

a. User information:

  • Mandatory information: Self-selected username and password, or login through authorized third-party solutions such as Discord, Steam and Twitch. Username will be publicly visible. Any password is not visible to others and is also encrypted for WordPress administrators. Esport Arena does not get access to passwords from authorized third-party solutions. If you use email and password as login, we recommend that you choose a strong password that you do not use elsewhere, as we do not have two-factor authentication.
  • Optional information: Biography, social media link, nationality, game ID, platform ID, photo and similar (visible to all). Please note that optional information may be mandatory to participate in certain activities (e.g. registration of game ID may be required to participate in a tournament in this game). 
  • E-mail address: Registering an e-mail address is voluntary, and can be done even if you have chosen to log in through a third party. Your e-mail address may be used to send out information messages (club/team invitations, tournament information, important messages from administrators), or to connect you with sponsorship or paid membership (if you choose this). Email is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties. 
  • Telephone number: This can be provided in the contact form. Submitted contact forms are processed by e-mail. Your phone number will not be linked to your account or stored beyond the information in the contact form, but it will remain visible in the email dialog between you and our contact email address.
  • Comments, articles and similar text and media that you choose to post on the website, in forums or elsewhere. Please note that the content remains on our website without being deleted, even if you choose to delete your account.
• We encourage you to avoid uploading images with location data (EXIF GPS) as this information can be downloaded and retrieved by other users.
• Payment information (handled through a third party, see section 5).

b. IP address

Your IP address during registration and in connection with tournaments may be stored for as long as you have a user account with us. The reason for this is the need to prevent and detect cheating in tournaments such as account sharing, VPN use and the like. 

c. Information cookies (cookies)

We use cookies to improve the user experience, analyze traffic and customize content. By using the website, you consent to our use of cookies. You can change your cookie settings in your browser and/or in the cookie permissions on the website.

This is how we use cookies: 

You can choose to remember certain fields, this is to simplify the use of the website. These cookies are stored for 6 months. If you log in, we use a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close the browser. When you log in, we will use cookies to store your login information so that you do not have to fill in the details again if you leave comments or otherwise interact with the website. These cookies are stored for 6 months. If you select «remember me» your username will also be stored, passwords and screen resolution are stored in cookies (these are deleted before 6 months, or immediately if you choose to log out). If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be stored in your browser. This does not contain any personal data, only an ID to Articles you edited. It will be deleted after 1 day. 

d. Third party services

External links on this website may direct you to other websites that do not follow our practices and privacy policy.

Commentary and articles can be checked through an automatic spam control service. 

Esport Arena can use authorized payment providers such as Stripe and Vipps for user payments for certain services. When you makes a payment, your payment details are processed by the payment provider in according to their own privacy policies. We do not store credit card or payment information on our servers.

Esport Arena partners with eWave and their Overwatch AI Anticheat for PUBG. Esport Arena reserves the right to share information about your game account ID and other relevant information with eWave with suspicion of cheating.

3. How do we use information from you?

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To detect and prevent cheating in games (account sharing, VPN use, bypassing bans and similar), spam, abuse or security threats

The data we collect is stored in our databases and backups of these. We follow professional standards for our databases. We store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described above, or as long as it is required by law. We make use of technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss or theft. change.
