Rockstar has released the GTA 6 launch trailer, and we're counting down to November 19.

Rockstar has released the GTA 6 launch trailer. With the game scheduled for November 19, the time is approaching to trade speculation for firsthand experiences in Vice City.
On October 15, Rockstar published the launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. For players counting down the days, it marks another milestone ahead of the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Watch the trailer on Rockstar’s website.
But behind the trailers and anticipation lies a question that can only be answered once the game arrives: What will it actually feel like to be there?
GTA 6 introduces us to Jason and Lucia. According to Rockstar’s description, a seemingly easy score goes wrong, drawing them into a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida. They must rely on each other to make it out alive, with Vice City forming a central part of the setting. Source: the game’s official website.
The premise leaves room for both major action sequences and a story in which the relationship between the protagonists matters. How well those elements work together will be one of the interesting questions at launch.
An intense car chase can look great in a trailer. Making players care about the people inside the car takes more time.
The anticipation surrounding a new GTA also comes from the freedom to do something entirely unrelated to the next mission.
Take a different turn. Explore a neighbourhood. Find a radio station that suits the drive. Get distracted and end up on the opposite side of the map.
This is where an open world faces its real test. A large map can look impressive in screenshots, but exploring it reveals whether its locations are actually worth visiting.
In GTA 6, life between missions will therefore be just as interesting to explore as the story itself. Will the world make you want to stop and take a closer look? Will you discover something that changes your plans?
A launch trailer is designed to build anticipation. It can establish a mood, introduce characters and offer a concentrated glimpse of the experience. It can hardly tell you how the game will feel after ten, twenty or fifty hours.
There is still plenty to be curious about, especially the things that clips and screenshots cannot settle: mission pacing, controls and how long the urge to explore will last.
November 19 is the scheduled date to start finding those answers. Until then, the trailer gives us something new to discuss. After that, it will be players’ own stories from Vice City that count.
