Familiar names return for season 2 — and there is still room for more teams to join the story.

Mentally Unstable won the spring title. Cooked Units came close. As Nordic Championship Season 2 approaches, familiar names return — and there is still room for more teams to join the story.
Two rounds into the spring season, Cooked Units were setting the pace. Three chicken dinners and 143 points had put them at the top of Division 1, with a 30-point advantage over Mentally Unstable. There was a long season ahead, but the early challenge had been laid down: catch us if you can. Read the early-season report.
By the end of the championship, the order had changed.
Mentally Unstable finished on 395 points, taking the Nordic title ahead of Cooked Units on 379. Both teams won seven matches. Their placement scores were separated by just one point, while Mentally Unstable’s 256 kills against Cooked Units’ 241 supplied most of the winning margin. Across seven rounds, the title had come down to a difference of 16 points. See the spring results.
That season gives the next edition something to build on: a champion to challenge, a runner-up with a narrow gap to close, and a reminder that an early lead is only the beginning.
Both teams are already registered for Season 2. Whether they find themselves fighting for the title again remains to be seen, but their spring performances make them two of the most compelling names to follow. View the entered teams.
For Mentally Unstable, spring also showed what winning a league demands beyond strong individual performances. In their post-season interview, the Finnish champions described a campaign that included hardware problems and the pressure of a close title race. Staying composed and adapting together mattered when the championship was still in the balance. Read the champions’ interview.
A new season asks them to do it all again. Previous results establish a reputation; the next lobby still starts at zero.
One of the exciting questions for this season is how the winners of the Norwegian League - Real Gangstas - will perform. They come straigth from a league win that will give them confidence and a clear goal, and is definitively a team to follow closely.
There are other familiar names worth watching, too. MEMO, also registered for Season 2, finished fifth in spring with 267 points and four match wins. They ended level on points with fourth-placed Skara Sommariand and only two ahead of KUPARI KARTELLI. Away from the leading pair, positions were being contested just as closely. For teams in that chasing group, finding a few more points each evening could make a meaningful difference. See the final standings.
Those battles are part of what makes a league worth playing. Over several weeks, opponents become familiar. Teams get opportunities to learn from a difficult round, adjust their approach and return with something better. A good evening can become a turning point; a disappointing one becomes something to work on together.
Season 2 brings that opportunity to teams across the Nordic region from 2 November to 10 December. The competition uses divisions based on competitive level, with Elite divisions for the top end of the field and Standard divisions serving a wider range of teams. Each division plays six rounds, with six matches per round. Explore the Season 2 format.
For an established team, that means another season of testing ambitions against results. For a squad entering organised competition, it offers a regular setting to develop teamwork, build experience and discover what they can achieve.
Spring gave Nordic Championship its first champions and its first rivalries. The next chapter will be shaped by the teams that turn up — including those still considering whether to take the step.
Registration closes on 27 October at 23:59 CET. Gather your squad and give yourselves a season to remember.
